By accessing and using Edge-Ping ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

Edge-Ping is a website monitoring service that:

• Checks website availability and performance
• Sends alerts when websites go down or recover
• Tracks uptime statistics and incident history
• Provides monitoring from distributed global locations

3. Account Registration

To use the Service, you must:

• Provide accurate and complete registration information
• Maintain the security of your account credentials
• Be at least 13 years of age
• Notify us immediately of any unauthorized access

You are responsible for all activities that occur under your account.

4. Website Verification

Before monitoring begins, you must verify ownership of websites by:

• Adding a DNS TXT record to prove domain ownership
• Completing the verification process through our dashboard

You may only monitor websites you own or have explicit permission to monitor.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree NOT to:

• Monitor websites you do not own without authorization
• Use the Service to harass, abuse, or harm others
• Attempt to bypass verification requirements
• Overload or interfere with the Service's operation
• Use the Service for any illegal purposes
• Share your account with unauthorized users
• Reverse engineer or copy the Service

6. Service Availability

While we strive for high availability, Edge-Ping is provided "as is" without guarantees of:

• 100% uptime or continuous operation
• Error-free or uninterrupted service
• Immediate detection of all downtime events

We perform checks approximately every 60 seconds for verified websites. Some downtime events may occur between checks.

7. Monitoring Limits

Current service limits include:

• 100 websites per account (free tier)
• Checks every 60 seconds for verified sites
• 7 days of incident history retention

We reserve the right to modify these limits with notice.

8. Data and Privacy

Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy. We collect and process data as described in that policy.

9. Intellectual Property

Edge-Ping and all related materials, including software, design, and content, are owned by or licensed to us. You may not copy, modify, or distribute our intellectual property without permission.

10. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account if you:

• Violate these Terms
• Use the Service fraudulently or abusively
• Engage in activities that harm the Service or other users

You may delete your account at any time through the dashboard.

11. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO:

• Merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose
• Accuracy or reliability of monitoring data
• Availability or uninterrupted access

12. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, EDGE-PING SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR:

• Any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages
• Loss of profits, revenue, data, or business opportunities
• Damages resulting from downtime not detected by our Service
• Damages exceeding the amount paid for the Service (currently free)

13. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Edge-Ping from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from:

• Your violation of these Terms
• Your use of the Service
• Your violation of any third-party rights

14. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify users of significant changes via email or service notification. Continued use after changes indicates acceptance of the new Terms.

15. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by applicable international laws. Any disputes will be resolved through appropriate legal channels.

16. Service Modifications

We reserve the right to:

• Modify or discontinue features at any time
• Change service limits or pricing
• Update monitoring intervals or methods

We will provide reasonable notice of significant changes.

17. No Warranty for External Sites

Edge-Ping monitors external websites but has no control over their content, availability, or operation. We are not responsible for the websites you choose to monitor.
